Hierarchy Process Improvement Model Example

A simple manufacturing process using the hierarchy method (note that most process models will be more detailed than this example).

Deliver Raw Materials Roast Coffee Package Coffee Receive Coffee
Measure green coffee Roast 15 to 20 minutes depending on coffee type Measure out 1 lb. of coffee per bag Put coffee in overstock
Load green coffee Dump coffee into hoppers Put label on bag Enter location on receiving sheet
Put tin tie on bag Enter data into system
