Humankind, Manifest Destiny
It has been written, a bacteriologist's waltenschauug or world view..."The world is covered with a very fine layer of stool." The reference to 'fine layer of stool' is E.Coli. E.Coli rots the bolus coursing through many mammals. The human body, being one, is symbotic with E.Coli, where the body cannot exist without it. E.Coli, being the chosen, Homo Sapiens should be Homo Sapiens E.Coli. As Homo Sapiens E.Coli, we should contemplate the bacteriologist waltenschauug with the thought that there are serious pathogenic bacteria laying about everywhere, attendant with the appreciation of the human's body's ability to deal with all of them...as long as the port of entry is small and the bacteria are individuals; that is, get a cut or scrap..immediately clean, disinfect, and facilitate healing.
A bacterium has as much instinct to survive as a human being does. The difference between human and bacterium is that the bacterium has nothing to inhibit its instinct for survival. This only means that the most cognitive, while desperately needing the least cognitive to survive, should not underestimate the least with regard to its instinct to survive.
In this sense, unless humankind embraces a respect for all the living and all it depends on, they will be the most handicapped to survive. Without this respect, the first to live on Earth would then be the most likely be the last, unless humankind becomes stewards of life here, and perhaps anywhere in the universe where there is life.
