Biogenesis

The biogenesis principle states that life begets life in that only life can begotten from life, or consciousness from consciousness.

If one holds to what is life and what is not, then, by the biogenesis principle, one must conclude that humankind was designed by a supernatural creator.

If one holds to the sense that 'all is alive,' then the drama of evolution, in accord with the biogenesis principle, can proceed from the consciousness of the atom to aggregates and complexities of them.

With the previous, the latter is excluded. With the latter, the previous is included, and what is of a greater world, is not only more plausible by Occum's Razor, but also more pleasant to envision..when a greater spiritual domain is needed.
